Is the pitch changer free?
Yes. Shifting the pitch costs nothing, there is no watermark and no signup.
What is a semitone?
A semitone is one half-step on the musical scale. +12 semitones raises the audio by a full octave, -12 lowers it by an octave.
Does changing the pitch change the speed?
No. The tempo stays exactly the same — only the key moves up or down, so a transposed track plays back at its original length.
Can I use it to sing along in my key?
Yes. Shift a song a few semitones up or down until it sits in your vocal range, then sing along at the original speed.
Will the vocals sound like a chipmunk?
Only if you ask for it. The sound setting starts on Natural, which moves the key while the singer and the instruments keep their character. Switch it to the chipmunk / deep-voice option when that effect is the point.
Can I tune a track to 432 Hz?
Yes. Leave the semitones at 0 and set the fine-tune to about -32 cents — that lowers standard 440 Hz tuning to 432 Hz. The cents slider gives you tuning finer than a semitone for exactly this.
Can I change several files at once?

Do my files stay private?
